I love this series by Ms. Roth and I was not disappointed by her treatment of Corbin. He is the leader and so calm and cool. I really enjoyed seeing him lose his cool. I also enjoyed seeing his men protect him when they aren't so sure he can protect himself. Ms. Roth shows us such and likeable side of Corbin. He loves his friends and his mother. And while he is fearsome he respects his mother and admits she scares him. But finding his mate was unexpected and facing the prospect of losing her is terrifying. But Corbin and the guys will do whatever is necessary to protect not only Mae but the others being abused. This story showed us another side of the leader of the unit and I enjoyed seeing the softer side even and I adored the strength of his animal. With Act of Command Ms. Roth stepped up her game and gave us a story full of strong character development. It showed us more than the strong animalistic side and showed a more human/emotional side to the men we have come to know and love.

A Lion Already Full of Courage, Gets Love Instead ❤️

The books in this series are seriously some of the best action/romance books that I’ve read. Corbin is a Lion shifter who is used to being in charge, and after a blind date that didn’t happen, he finds out that the woman he was supposed to meet was kidnapped. Awful under any circumstances, but enough to send Corbin reeling when he realizes the woman, Mae, is not only his missed blind date, but his mate also. So much exciting action, laugh out loud hilarious scenes, and sizzling chemistry made even stronger due to also being paranormal in origin. Loved the introduction of some new characters that definitely piqued my interest. You can’t go wrong with this book, but I do recommend reading the series from the beginning if you want the full enjoyment experience. I can see this series going a lot of places, and I’m down for following

I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This one was fun!! Straight laced, VERY British Captain Corbin Jones is BUSY. He doesn't have time for dating ... he's got his hands full with his team, and trying to keep them out of trouble. His mother nags him for a blind date, and he agrees.

He shows up for the date, but before he actually meets her ... duty calls, and he's called away out of country. Meanwhile, Mae ... who is an artist, and has been having visions of a mysterious man, who she sculpts. She's a bit scatterbrained, and doesn't have her phone with her, to get Corbin's message. Unbeknownst to Corbin, he actually saw the men who end up kidnapping her.

Corbin doesn't find out she's missing until he gets back into Country, and she's their next extraction case ... then he kind of looses his shit. The Team decide to send him in a "safe" direction, but Corbin ends up syncing up to Mae ... and she leads him in the right direction, but he looses communication with his team, and of course Corbin ends up being taken prisoner.

The Team scrambles to get to him, while Corbin is actually thrown in with Mae. There's an inside man from the Shadow Ops (yet another spinoff coming), who is working on getting them out. Then, his team shows up and does what the do best. Boomer & Stryker are hilarious!!

It was fun to see uptight and in control Corbin loose it when it comes to Mae. Great story ... I really hate the Corporation facilities though.

Marginally better than the last one I read, but I'm feeling like it's a bit write by numbers. Virgin - tick, alpha-male - tick, get kidnapped - ticked, saved by said alpha-male - tick.

You still don't hear much more about the corporation, faust, etc.

However this has more story, and the characters are more filled out than the previous book. This series is a guilty pleasure for me and I'll definitely be reading the next one.

Act of Command (Immortal Ops: PSI-Ops #4) by Mandy M. Roth is another fantastic read As with all these books and off shoot series are page turners and over before you want them because Mandy teases us with short stories. But short or not they pack a punch with hot alpha males, brothers in arms and their witty banter with each other and the powerful mates they all find themselves dropping like flies.

Captain Corbin Jones is head of Immortal Ops: PSI-Ops and a sexy Lion Shifter and is sent on a mission only to miss a blind date. Upon his return he finds out that that the one thing he never though he would ever find has been kidnapped.

I cannot wait for the next book.

PSI-Ops is back with a bang! Corbin has been more of a talked about character in the books so far, we've only seen little glimpses of him. But ever since his hair "accidentally" went pink in Act of Mercy, I've been dying to see what happens to him!

Corbin is a lion shifter and leader of the assorted shifters that make up his team. He's British so he gets stick for that as well as being pernickity and a straight arrow. But when he gets grief from his mother about settling down with a mate he does what any alpha male worth his salt does, he does what his mother tells him LOL. But when he catches a whiff of something akin to perfection whilst waiting for his blind date, he realises he doesn't want to settle for second best. When he gets called away on a mission he thinks he's had a narrow escape.

Mae has been seeing nothing but lions and a particular image of male perfection for a while. She even sculpted this mystery man and animal. But when she gets set up on a date but catches sight of man who pretty much is her mystery Alpha man, she's consoled by thoughts of him when her date doesn't turn up.

But when his search for his mate and his latest mission intersect Corbin finally loses his cool and pretty much becomes a berserker!

There is plenty of action, lots of Striker (hey I'm Scottish I love him with a huge bias!) lots of little flashes of out favourite PSI-Ops couples giving Corbin advice! We also see what happened to some of the secondary characters from other books (Remember Brad?). But Corbin and Mae are a brilliant match and Mae has some pretty unique skills (she's defo not a shifter!) Snappy dialogue and wonderful action and passionate encounters all merge into a wonderful confection!!!

I loved this installation of the series. Corbin and Mae are a fantastic pairing and the only thing I didn't enjoy was Corbin's misplaced guilt trip. Not the trip itself, but the reasoning he gave Mae, which was just bollocks in my opinion.
Other than that, I very much enjoyed this book!
