Really enjoyed this book a lot and immediately read the next one.

Finding out who the Mastermind was at the end was quite a shock. I never suspected.

This book has been praised by some as being one of the best in the series, but I can't get behind the mastermind. I can't even get over the fact that I figured something like this would happen ever since Kiss the Girls. I appreciate the effort, and even the split book approach between this and its sequel, but I'm starting to lose the verve I had from the beginning of the series.

One of my favourite Patterson books so far, great read even though, having read later books in the series, I knew the identity of the Mastermind.

I dont know what to make of the ending. Initially it pissed me off and I was tempted to give 1-2 stars. Now after review I may have misinterpreted it. Either way it upset me, which I guess is an author doing his job.

Five stars just because you will not see the ending coming. It may not be for everyone, but this is a must, must read if you got into the Alex Cross series.

The rest is well known. A fast pace thriller that will keep you turning pages and at the edge of your seat. Very standard for the Alex Cross series, but this one is one of the best so far (I still got a bunch of them to read).

There are things that I don't like in this book and pissed me off, but that's what good books do. They bring you in the same ride as the main character, and you can feel what they feel. You may not like what happens, but you'll feel it anyway.

Now, I'm heading to the next one full of hope. Let's see.

All I can say is that you will never guess it….not in a million years. That plot twist at the end

Sometimes a simple read is a good thing. Most James Patterson novels are equivalent to summer action movie and this one is no different. I understand that sound like a bad thing but it isn't always. I enjoyed this thriller as I do most Alex Cross books I've read. The story involves evil antagonists and twists, as always. My issues with the novel were the last page revelation and the insanely saccharine dialogue between Cross and his family. Both left a lot to be desired. Overall, a fun book stupid twist.

Not the best Alex Cross book that I've ever read but my God, the last few lines have certainly got me wishing that it weren't so late at night or that I don't have to get up so early in the morning.
I'm desperate to get started on the next in the series.
