The sex scene is sooooo bad. I feel like I’ve read this before and the final sentence was pretty obvious so I’m wondering if I read this previously.

3.5 wasn’t my favorite installment yet.

This book was not as good as some of the others. I understand that in all series you have ups and downs, but this one felt lackluster as if the use of explicit language could somehow improve the hardly tense feeling. This one was alright and I can't dock it too badly since all TV shows are not all improving with every episode and season. But I did enjoy this if only to be able to get to the next books. I will say that the last paragraph left me speechless, and I loved the twist. But that does not make up for the rest of the book being, as I said before, lackluster.

Typical fast-paced mystery from James Patterson. Kept me guessing and the ending was a shocker! Felt the romance side-plot was a bit forced and really didn’t appreciate the descriptions of necrophilia in this book. It’s one thing to state that it happened to a victim and another to describe the act from the point of the perpetrator. Liked it enough to want to read the next one.

The reveal at the end floored me!

Unheimlich spannend.
