After reading the first book, I was so excited to continue reading this series. And do I think that the love triangle and the drama that was prevalent in this book necessary? No, not at all. I may be biased because I love Brody and how he treated Magnolia. However, I really enjoyed the duet as a whole, and I liked that we got new perspectives in this book. I do think it was needed with the story given throughout this duet. Although a part of me is sad that it is over, it is also very bittersweet because the ending was so sweet. I want to read more from Willow Winters in the future.

With the first book 'Tequila Rose' ending on a cliff hanger I just had to read the second book to find out about two things , 1. Who is Bridget's biological father and 2. Who will win Magnolias heart ❤️

I am glad to report, on how it ended. I do feel sorry for Robert when he thinks he loses Mags, but I have so much more respect for Brody for accepting Robert into their little family besides the history between him and Mags.

This is definitely a feel good romance with those beautiful hints of spice coming every now and then

After reading Tequila Rose, I was very excited to get to read the sequel. I love reading different point of views, and including Robert's thoughts on things was the best decision. We finally got to understand why he did what he did all those years ago. This book and story really was a ride. Robert and Brody are both great characters for different reasons, and I really couldn't decide who to choose. It kind of broke my heart. Something that was a little annoying at times was Magnolia's indecisiveness. I understand why it's such a problem, but you know. But I loved to read the parts where her fear about raising her daughter was visible to the reader. Even though one might not completely understand her, I was able to sympathise with her. Flaws and worries let characters appear more human, and there's nothing better than that. The author has done an awesome job here.

This is a great conclusion to the story that was started in Tequila Rose. This story in its entirety is raw, real, and rough. I am usually not a fan of love triangles but Willow Winters crafted this one in a way that made me really enjoy it. Great book!

It starts with a flashback of bridget as a baby. Magnolia is having a rough time and Robert shows up and she tries to pay her rent and he won’t allow it and asks her on a date. She says she’s not a whore and if he won’t take her money she’ll go somewhere else. He throws her money in the trash and leaves but comes back and cleans the money and when Bridget cries he goes and soothes her. He knows there’s a possibility she’s not his but he also knows there’s a possibility she is even though magnolia told her she’s not. In present day, she told Robert no when he proposed and she feels so bad about it. She messages both Brody and Robert and tells them they need blood work done she’s doing a paternity test. In Roberts pov he tells his friend Asher he wouldn’t have asked her to marry him if he didn’t mean it and we get the hint he broke up with her because of his parents. In Brody’s pov we know he took the paternity test and he wants her to be his. He’s so nervous but he wants to meet her either way. Renee and griffin have also been texting. The 5 of them do dinner and when Brody leaves he has no doubt that that little girl is his. He’s obsessed with her. Magnolia realizes she’s falling in love with Brody. Robert goes and sees his dad and we find out what happened all those years ago. His dad knew about magnolias fathers scandal getting linked and told her he needed to break up with her to keep his name out of it. After the scandal blew over he planned on winning her back. But then her dad died and she was stuck with the whole thing and had a baby and everything was wrong and he’s never forgiven himself. He asks to come see her and she agrees they need to talk. They both tell each other they love each other but she tells him she also loves Brody and he says he knows. And then they make love. In a way she knows it feels like goodbye but she’s also clinging on to her childhood love, her best friend. She feels so guilty the next day at her gala. It goes perfect. Robert introduced her as a friend and she realized how much that had hurt her through the years. After the gala she went to Brody’s bar opening and told them they needed to talk. She told him about Robert and he wasn’t upset he only said he wants to put a title on it and make her his girlfriend and from now on he’s the only one who gets her. Whether he’s Bridget’s dad or not he’s sticking around. The test results come in at the same time Robert shows up. They cry together and she knows this is goodbye. He begs her but she knows she loves Brody more. Her and Robert have a different kind of love. She mans up to check the results and Renee tells her it’s Robert, but it’s Brody. Renee is confused she had heard right after bridget was born Robert got rested and then he started bringing things for Bridget and showing up so she assumed he was the dad but didn’t want to step up all the way. But actually he knew he wasn’t the dad and still stepped up because he loved magnolia. This hurt magnolia even worse. She had chosen Brody and he’s Bridget’s father she knows she needs to go talk to him but she also needs time to process. Robert is drinking at him and magnolias tree when Brody shows up. Brody is kind to him. And he doesn’t know why. Brody tells him he doesn’t want him out of magnolia and Bridget’s life. He’s okay with him being a friend he just wants to be hee husband. Robert is pretty drunk so Brody offers to drive him and Robert has him take him to Asher’s. Asher tells Brody that Robert has been staying there. He’s at rock bottom and things have been pretty hard for him with his mom and magnolia both. Magnolia asks Brody out for lunch and says she’s bringing bridget. Lunch goes really well and he asks if his mom can meet her. She’s overwhelmed but knows she’s going to be bringing new people into Bridget’s life and it’s not fair to keep them out of it. She goes to talk to Robert and trusts Brody with bridget alone at the park. Robert tells her how he hadn’t wanted to break up with her and how he had always planned to win her back over and how he so badly wanted bridget to be his. She tells him they’ll be friends forever and that she’ll always love him. And then she goes back to find Brody pushing bridget on the swings and her heart melts. That evening his mom comes and meets bridget and magnolia and it goes incredibly and they make love that night and tell each other they love each other. A year later it’s their wedding day. Magnolia is 6 months pregnant. When Brody found out she was pregnant he promised to be there every step of the way and he has been. Bridget is excited to be a big sister. Renee and griffin seem to be in a bit of a predicament on the wedding day. The wedding goes beautifully and the book ends with an excerpt of Asher and Bri. Says their book will be a little bit dirty. Why are we getting Asher before Renee!!! Anyways I really loved this duet. Since we got Roberts pov in this story I began to get a little worried she might end up with Robert instead of Brody but I would have been happy either way. Robert had stepped up and been there for hee for so long so it was kind of sad she ended up with Brody instead of Robert but Brody and Robert became friends and did guys nights so at least Robert still got to be a big part of her and Bridget’s life. I hope he finds happiness.
