Tiếp tục là một vụ án đầy lắt léo của Agatha Christie. Vụ án thì mãi đến khoảng 40 - 50% của truyện mới diễn ra nhưng không mang cảm giác lê thê vì tình tiết nhiều, sự kịch tính dồn dập. Phần hỏi cung diễn ra nhanh chóng, dành đất diễn cho màn suy luận lật kèo liên tục 4-5 lần, mỗi khi tưởng đáp án đúng đây rồi thì Poirot lại lật thêm lần nữa để khi đáp án thật được tiết lộ thì mình hoàn toàn bất ngờ. Không bằng những cuốn tốt nhất của Agatha nhưng vẫn xứng đáng 5 sao.
