4.16 AVERAGE

This book was light and entertaining. Character development could have been better. But I liked the heroine, she didn't fall at his feet as soon as she clapped her eyes on him and saw the appeal. Banter between lead characters was nice. Overall an enjoyable book.

Finally, I loved this one!

5 stars for Adam and Gabby. Swoon.

Read this one many years ago but decided I wanted to revisit this world for a bit. I think I actually liked it more this time than last. Adam was always intriguing whenever he showed up in these stories and it was right for him to get his own story. I wish we'd had a chance to re-connect with his son though. The one big happy family ending would be sweet.

This was actually very enjoyable for me. I didn't snort/cackle/roll my eyes as often as I have when attempting other forays into the world of romance fiction and I enjoyed the plot, though the climax (no pun intended) was a bit uninspired.

Obviously my favorite part was reading my name over and over, that was quite a power trip.

It was good. I found this at a library sale. We have a sexy highlander fairy that gets into some trouble and needs the help of Gabby, who is not your average human because she can see fairies in the human world. I liked the humor in it, found some ridiculous parts, like they are being chased by guys with guns and Gabby wants to stop and help a tadpole. Anyway, it takes place in Cincinnati and Skyline was mentioned so that was great!

This is the first time I've been able to read one of Karens books in less than two weeks. Because I liked it. It's also the first 4 star I've given as well.

All the others before it just bored the crap out of me. But this one? Adam Black? Yes please!!

Finally a story with Fae about the Fae showing Fae. Just FAE! I expected so much out of these books as they were recommended but I haven't been able to say I liked them before this one.

Adam Black has many faces. Jealous, meddlesome, and vindictive in book one. Caring in book 3? I was super enthralled by him. Wanting to know why he is the way he is and why he does the things he does. So when I finally got to this one, expectations were low because previous books were lackluster. I got what I wanted and I must say he's an amazing book boyfriend!

Of course I always seem to find annoyances with the heroine, they're just so boring. Gabby was more exciting than the others. But she damn well irritated me with the whole "it" thing when referring to Adam. Karen wrote sucky women, really, she did. So the best thing about this book other than Adam? Her being called "it". It was great.

I know I'm being bitchy but still. It's how i felt at the beginning. As the story goes on she is more tolerable after her predisposed terror of Fae just melts away.

I love that there was actually story in this one. We got to see Adam being selfless and we got to see some action (outside of the bedroom ladies!).

Adam has gone through days, months, and years just being but now he's found someone to live for and that brought out the amazing in him!

I truely hope the rest of this series is good because if it goes downhill then so will my reading of her books.

I'm not reading this crap anymore.

I always finish her highlander books soooo fast and then get sad it's over :(
Only reason for 4/5 instead of 5/5 ...can we get some variety on these women always wanting to have babies with these guys? Like why not just happily ever after with their beau and that's enough. I'd like to see that.
