No notes, just a really lovely sequel! Seeing Simi beat herself up over every action she took was hard, but often us Black women hold ourselves to impossibly high standards to help, provide for, and protect others, and judge ourselves most harshly when we “fail”. so it was sad but i felt it 100%  

Either way I love the ending for her, and thought this was a lovely closing to this adventure.

I really enjoyed the continuation of Simi’s story and how in the end, she chose to remain on her own journey. It’s a powerful message to a young audience, to do what you need to do for yourself in life.

There were some parts of the story that were so descriptive that I almost found myself getting lost in visualizing them. I’d be excited to see this get turned into a movie so I could see some of my visions come to life.
