This was fantastic. First and foremost, I must bring up this cover, look at how wonderful it is. I love it when characters are illustrated nicely, but also match their in-book descriptions perfectly. Now, onto the actual contents of this book: I really loved Rahul and Jasmine, what a pair indeed. Their dynamic was such a pleasure to witness, such a sweet friendship and a passionate love. I've seen some people describe Rahul as too much of a simp but I must disagree, it was perfect, you could feel his emotions and feelings for Jasmine just pouring out of him.

I realise this is a Talia Hibbert book so this isn't likely, but as much as I enjoyed all the sex scenes, I think I would have liked to spend just a little bit more time exploring Jasmine's issues, especially because it ended with her kinda turning a new leaf. Don't get me wrong, it was present but I think it could have been discussed in a little bit more detail,

Other than that, I had a really pleasant time with this read and, while I know they're fictional, I really do wish them both the best.

I probably should have just finished the book since I made it to 75%, but I just couldn’t. I wanted to DNF this book a lot sooner but just kept hoping it would get better for me. It didn’t. I found nothing relatable with the characters and found the whole way they started their rendezvous a little strange. I am also not a fan of “I like this person but  I don’t think they like me” when of course they do and a simple conversation would clear all that up. I can tolerate some of that, but I just felt like this dragged on.

Thought I would like this one a lot more than I did - it just didn't feel super fleshed out, and the image problems the FMC had seemed a bit unrealistic.

Some of this may have been affected by the audiobook experience, which absolutely did not hit for me unfortunately.

Talia Hibbert writes smart, developed characters in her romance novels. These are people with real emotions, thoughts and interests, which makes for more fully realized and complex relationship arcs. This one has two long-term friends forced to share an apartment. Long buried desires surface and must be navigated alongside personal hang-ups. It's funny, it's sexy.
