So happy for Fiona and Max

Loved the book. Loved the journey they took. Loved the vulnerability they showed and the thoughtfulness that went into what makes relationships good and what makes them not so good. It certainly gave this girl (who tends to never commit) a great deal to think about! And mostly I loved the music - every time a song was mentioned I would have Alexa play it so I could hear the music while I saw the scene in my head. Thank you for the music!

I was planning for this to be a quick-read that I wouldn't even bother to put on goodreads but wow. This book had me screaming, crying , laughing and overjoyed at almost every scene. Love it love it!

If you want a smutty romance novel here ya go! I thought it was a great book and it did have me captivated the whole time. The reason I gave it a three was because some lines were slightly cheesy for me and one part near the end said the same thing essentially twice. But overall I really liked this book and it had a fun storyline where bad boy meets good girl.

Do these opposites, attract? OH do they ever! The chemistry between Fiona and Max are off the charts. Fiona with her life of list and charts knows what she wants and it isn’t Max with his “going with the wind” lifestyle. She likes order and he likes doing whatever. I loved reading how they fell hard for each other. How once they had a taste, they would do anything to make it work.

Kathryn Nolan knows how to make the pages of your book melt with the sexy chemistry of her characters. You always feel like you're there in her stories. WOW! Glad I read this in the winter as the steam coming from the pages was so HOT. What a great romance to start 2021 off with a bang!

I enjoyed this book so much! I loved Roxy & Edwards story so I was super excited about this book. As a huge Empire Records & punk music fan this book really hit me with the feels & nostalgia. I loved Fiona & Max’s love story but I also loved how well it captured the pure joy of being at a venue for a punk show. The smell of stale beer in the air, your ears are ringing and you can feel the bass in your chest; and if you aren’t leaving dripping in sweat and maybe a little bruised you aren’t doing it right .

Joyful and steamy

Fiona is a lady lawyer in pantsuits and a dancing punk rock aficionado at night. She wants to be married by thirty and has let the spreadsheet loving half of her control her search for love for a year. Then she meets Max. A man she should not be involved with but for the first time in her life she feels sparks. Will she let joy be her guide or will she continue to be oh so responsible? Not the Marrying Kind is an ode to unconventional family, punk rock, and letting joy guide your way. I absolutely loved this book.
