This book was well written, entertaining and showed what it is like to truly have a special dog in your life. It made me laugh, cry and want to hug my own dog. It's a must read for dog lovers!
Not one I would reread just because it is sad, but I enjoyed reading the story of this man and his dog. I thought it was well written and easy to read, but not in a boring way. It kept my attention, but definitely more for dog lovers
As someone who’s worked with animals this book made me cringe. There were definitely some things the owners should/shouldn’t have been doing.
I didn’t enjoy the author’s writing style. It occasionally came off as condescending or judgmental towards other characters.

Wonderful book. Hilarious! It makes you love and remember the pets you have! You realize how much a part of your life they really become. It makes me want to go get a dog.

Dit was gewoon slecht. Ik hoopte echt iets te voelen voor dat dier en de baasjes, maar niks... Het is idd zoals een andere review schrijft, alsof iemand die je niet kent je over zijn hond vertelt en je zijn foto's van dat beest toont. Ik kon er echt geen moer om geven.

I feel disappointed after reading this as I thought it'd be more about the dog and would make me chuckle.
As the proud (and often frustrated) owner of a large, lovable, thick-skulled lab, I found this book filled with resonant truths. I laughed until I cried, and then I just plain cried. Essential reading for any dog lover.
