Made me love my Mari a little bit more :)
slow-paced

I was a little disappointed after reading this book. I heard wonderful things about it, and was determined to read it before watching the movie (which I haven't as of yet). Being a dog owner/lover myself, I thought I would be able to identify with Marley and his owner and say "oooh yeah, my dog has done that" or "yep! they always do that". That didn't happen at all! Marley's adventures seemed so unique to me that I couldn't even relate at all. Nonetheless, it was a very touching story about the simple pleasures a rambunctious pet can bring to your life!

Quick Take:
I still cry thinking about this book. I have a golden and this story just brought on the water works. I get emotional just thinking about this book. Very beautifully written and you can't help but fall in love with Marley.

Very cute, reminded me of my crazy chocolate lab, Stella. I do prefer the movie over the book but it was a fun read.

not too impressed, so far. i guess it's just not my style.

I don't really like animal stories. I don't have a dog, I've never had a dog (and based on what my husband says) I'll probably never have a dog. It was cute enough, but I can only take the antics of a crazy dog for so long before I'm bored.

3.25 stars. I enjoyed it, but it wasn't necessarily a page turner either.
