Definitely an emotional book, but pretty good overall. I liked how it was realistic and showed their flaws and troubles, but it still worked out and had a happy ending even if it wasn’t the one the characters first wanted.
I’m very glad that the author didn’t decide to throw in a pregnancy or even adoption. A lot of authors do that when talking about infertility which is kind of insulting and ignoring the realities of infertility. Sure it’s happier for the characters, but unrealistic and could be upsetting for readers.

That being said, it felt like a very short book that honestly wasn’t super intriguing. A lot of things were glossed over that could have added more depth to the book. I also didn’t like
the premise of Graham’s affair or how it was handled. The reasoning was strange and Quinn really got over it oddly fast.

My favorite part was the letters. Without it, I probably would have given this book 3-3.25 stars.

Boyfriend Graham is wonderful, amazing, a solid book boyfriend
Husband Graham  awful, horrible, immature and not a great husband.
I guess that fits with showing how couples grow and change over time and how it isn't always for the best. This does not have a HEA and everyone should check the triggers going into this book.

4.5 STARS

Before I start this review and before you read this book, I urge you to look up the trigger warnings please!!

This book was an emotional rollercoaster. There were so many scenes that made me want to throw the book at the wall, but then I couldn’t because I needed to keep reading. The days that I was reading this book, I was always sad, even if I wasn’t even thinking about the book — it was extremely intense.

One day, Quinn goes to surprise her fiancé at his apartment. When she arrives, she meets a boy named Graham. Graham tells Quinn that her fiancé is cheating on her with his (Graham’s) girlfriend.

After this, Graham and Quinn build some type of connection and they spend some time together. Eventually, they part ways and meet again a few months later.

Graham and Quinn eventually get married, but they experience fertility issues. This has a huge impact on their relationship, and really drifts them apart. Quinn has always dreamed of being a mother and Graham has always wanted to be a father, so not being able to conceive takes a toll on them both.

But the question is, is love enough? Is love enough when there’s no happiness, intimacy, or communication anymore? Will Graham and Quinn be able to connect with one another once again or will they give up on each other?

This book does have the cheating trope, and I am definitely not a fan of that so it was so hard for me to love one of the characters but at the same time I couldn’t hate them?? It was such an emotional whirlwind.

At times this book made me so upset that I literally wanted to throw up. — that  was probably one of my favourite things about this book, the way it made me feel.

I loved how the book had “then” and “now” scenes. It gives the reader an idea of what Quinn and Graham’s relationship was like in the past, compared to what it’s like now.

If you are looking for a book that’s sad and happy and will break your heart, I would recommend this one! Colleen Hoover never disappoints with her books. However, if you’re already in a bad place emotionally, then I would save this book for a later time <3

This may be my absolute favorite CoHo book so far. The way that she writes the story line, the characters, their issues, they’re all just so raw and real. This book has made me cry the hardest out of all of the books by Colleen I have read so far.
I loved the way that she wrote the book with then and now, but it definitely threw me on an emotional rollercoaster. I think that the idea of the then and now chapters made the book so much better though, as you see the way Quinn and Grahams relationship unfolds and develops.
I think the whole storyline was absolutely amazing, and there wasn’t a better way this book could have ended.
