Dopo un secondo libro deludente, il terzo uccide proprio ogni speranza. Mare prigioniera a contatto con la pietra silente. Maven che dice sempre le stesse cose e costringe lei a dirne altre. Verso la fine del libro migliora leggermente per poi finire con il colpo di scena.

This took me a hot minute to get into. Until the 30% mark, I was struggling with this book. It wasn’t easy reading about Mare, trapped and broken. But I guess it wasn’t meant to be. After the first third, I got hooked and my anticipation and the tension built up from there and it was so good. I loved the character development so far, the direction of the plot, the writing.

So close to being a 5 star until around after page 330. the last 100+ pages were a stark contrast compared to the rest of the book imo and it threw me off. I didn’t dislike it though.

loved this book so much almost as much as i love my big idiot Cal.

I think this entire series is just a compilation of disasters. It’s well written, the characters are developed, the plot is enticing, and I hate it. I’m used reading books where even in utter chaos there will be one good thing. Whether it’s a determined characters or a successful romance. But in this book (and frankly the series) there is only disaster after disaster. And I hate that I can’t put the book down.
