This just keeps getting better and better! The characters motives and development is great to see and yet you can’t help but feel the frustration at that you know how things are roughly going to work out but you can’t change it. Just like in real life. Loved this!

This book makes me so mad!!!! I did not like it at all. Red Queen was by far my favorite. The characters were super flat, the plot was boring. This books took me forever to read. I wanted to rip it up. I'm so glad I borrowed it from the library instead of buying it because it was complete trash. Not even close to a two star book. More than half of this book needed to be written. Certain parts were good, but I flipped too many pages to read anything worth five hundred pages. Cameron and Evangeline did not need their own POVs. They were the last characters I would think to need a POV. Why not Cal or even Maven? I had to google who Cameron was because I forgot her. Why? Because she isn't an important character!! It was slow and boring, and why the hell did it take her like three hundred pages to get set free. I heard there's another book in the making but I didn't like this book or Glass Sword and I might have to abandon this series. If everything was written the way it was in Red Queen this would be one of my favorite series, but I have to say this book (If not the series) is a big flop and I'm not sure how this book got so many stars. Maybe if it didn't feel forced it could've been better. Not every book deserves a sequel or trilogy or series or whatever! Some of them are better left alone, and Red Queen would've done well on my opinion if she left it as is.

I think Maven is one of my favorite characters…. I NEED his perspective. I am SO grateful we didn’t have to suffer Mares perspective this entire book. We get both Cameron’s and Evangeline as well. One of the funniest parts of the book was the fact that Evangeline actually likes girls. Not Mare complaining the two previous books that,”There isn’t a single person like her.” when in reality there are another three people with her same power

I take back every bad thing I have ever said about this series because this book restored all my faith in this series.

Honestly love the switch the main character made despite what she went through to get there. I was starting to hate girly pop

probably more of a 4.5 for me but not quite a 5 (give us half stars u cowards!!!)

is this rating so high because I too love Prince Tiberias Calore of Norta? maybe!

The juxtaposition of the Cal's words (and actions subsequently) from: 'Cameron, my heart is quite literally in this.' at the beginning of the book to some of his last words to Mare in the book: ‘You know what you are to me. Without you I have no one. I am alone. I have nothing left. Don’t leave me alone.’
... have me suffering. HE LOVES MARE SO much. and i love HIM so much.

so much bad happened in the beginning, my heart ached for Mare (and my burner son) but i had so much happiness within mare being reunited, cameron getting her brother back, farley's having shade's kid and... all the mare/cal i got (wowie im gonna reread those scenes 1000000 times - the one in the rain specifically had me DYING) were just such shining rays in the darkness.

i really enjoyed getting more background on characters that are inherently bad but bad for specific reasons, maven's love of thomas and elara destroying his mind and evangeline's love for her family and elane. i still semi dislike both of them... but i feel like evangeline might grow on me

i have to say, i knew my burner prince would betray me but, i will love him!!! forever!

Aspects of this story are gripping and interesting, and I like the world, but the first half drags and there are a few choices made by characters that feel against the arc they were on. It feels like we retread the same character beats a lot which is somewhat frustrating as a reader.
