The Roanokes are at it again. This time, they interfere in Yeti and Sasquatch affairs after they discover, due to an ice cream emergency, that the Yetis are stealing the camp's power because the Sasquatches took over the Yetis' home. The Roanokes, well April, see only one solution: challenge the Sasquatches to a roller derby match!

Filled with its signature heart and humor, Lumberjanes Vol. 9 will delight readers young and old.

Lumberjanes is always a treat for me and this one is no different. Who doesn’t love cryptid roller derby??
I prefer the original artists but this artist is just fine.

I always say it, Lumberjanes is a bit up and down for me, it’s a rollercoaster series. This particular volume… wasn’t one of the better ones.
As always, I loved the girls, and I love the addition of Barney too, but having an already established relationship with the characters (as we are on volume 9 now) doesn’t excuse a thoroughly lacking plot. I felt like there was no substance to this volume at all, and was mightily disappointed with it. There was no action, no mystery, nothing to solve… it was just lacking.
Of course I will continue with the series, I am invested so will get the next volume, I just hope it’s better than this one… as I said, it’s up and down. 2* simply for the cool girl gang though, that I continue to love.
