Its been 7 years since Holly lost gerry, 6 since she read the final letter. If you ugly cried at p.s I love you, I can guarantee you will ugly cry at this. Once again another great book by cecelia ahern.
With thanks to the publisher for the copy received. I was hesitant about reading this book at first, I hadn’t read PS, I Love You but I was assured that it worked well as a standalone. I’m glad I took the chance, it is a while since I read a book that made me feel so emotionally drained but also enchanted by the characters.
I was prepared to be upset, you would have to have a heart of stone not to get upset at least once when reading this book. Holly’s memories of Gerry were special, but apart from one scene didn’t affect me so much. It was the group of people who Holly decided to help, against advice from friends, family and new partner Gabriel. One of them more than any other, I won’t say who. Everybody who reads will have a character who they have more empathy for.
But there were also moments that made me laugh. Her family, especially her brother Richard and her friends, I laughed every time Mathew appeared.
A truly inspiring novel which showed an unusual way of bringing comfort in a tragic situation. That even doing the smallest thing could make a difference.

Absolutely loved! If you liked the first one, "PS I Love You" you will love this! The author does an amazing job continuing Holly's story and keeping true to the emotion and heart of the series.
I'm usually a fast reader especially when the book is a real page turner. I don't stop reading until I get to that final page. I honestly thought Postscript was going to be *that* kind of book for me. It wasn't. This book taught me how to take things slow. Sometimes, we want to speed through everything we do because we feel like there's just not enough time. But what we also fail to do is appreciate the experience and that's exactly what I did while reading Postscript.
I know how it feels like to lose a loved one due to a terminal illness which is probably why it also made it harder for me to read through the pages. It's not easy but it's also not impossible to move forward.
"Shoot for the moon and even if you miss you'll land among the stars."
"I hate goodbyes, but hating them is never a justification to stay."
Two quotes that will hold a special meaning to me from here on out. I'm glad I stumbled upon this book. I know there's a reason why I was supposed to read it. Admittedly not the best book but a really really good one.

Postscript follows the journey of Holly Kennedy, set seven years after “PS I love you” and shows us how she has managed to rebuild her life after tragically losing her husband to cancer all those years prior.
It is helpful to have read the first book, but not essential as all the backstory is beautifully explained without repetition.
Holly is trying to move forwards with her life but is suddenly pulled back into the orbit of her husband’s letters from beyond the grave when she receives a card entitled “The PS, I Love You Club”.
I was unsure that this book would live up to the high expectations I had after reading the first book but it was truly something special and very powerful. A very emotional read but worth the tears!

Again, I would love to give it 4 & a half but I can’t so 5 it is. There were moments that I didn’t like Holly, there were moments that it felt like dragging a little bit BUT there were so many moments that I had tears in my eyes that I couldn’t not put five stars. It definitely made feel things & see some things in perspective
Did I cry for a second? Yes I have... but I don’t think I’m the target audience for this book. I’m not a fan of all the descriptions of rooms, cabinets and curtains. I’m more into human connection which I taught will be here but no, it was all in the shadow of the decription of furniture. But hello I also didn’t like the first one so... who am I to judge.
