I really enjoyed this book however did feel the ending was a bit rushed. Can’t wait to read the next one!

Almost didn’t understand the hype but once you get about halfway in - I GET IT NOW! Where is book 2??? Unwell with that ending but have all the faith in our little hellion! Cool magic system, lots of politics, badass FMC who fights for human rights, ghosts done well, and excruciatingly slow burn.
Something really good
Some books are flat. In case of romantasy there is romanse and often... nothing more. This book is opposite of that.
Characters are really likable, their inner struggles understandable and serious.
Magic and political systems intriguing and well shown. There are still many mysteries about both but they're not infuriating (like in many other books). They simply leave you with want to read more and more.
And the romanse? Slow burn and sweet. There is passion but the best thing is that we truly see how feelings are slowly developing through the book. How characters truly understand and accept each other.
The ending? Really good. There is so many things to explore in next book. And they make you curious!
In overall I enjoyed every minute and can't wait for the next installment.

i can’t tell you a single thing about the magic system and worldbuilding, but i was THERE for the romance!!
I still haven’t mastered the art of DNFing but this book certainly put me to test. I push through with the hopes it would get better and it would get somewhere but it didn’t. I still don’t get the magic system, I still don’t get what was the point of it all.
