This wasn't Kinsella's best, but it was cute!

The beginning felt very relatable (I haven't run away to a convent in order to escape stressful situations, but I have Googled them more than once), the setting was quirky and charming, and I liked Sasha and Finn together. Some of it felt a little too simple and some of the things that seemed like brewing conflict were sort of dropped, but it was still a nice, happy book that I found myself smiling at.

Such a great book! Relatable, funny, satisfyingly honest. I loved how it wrapped up in the end!

DID NOT FINISH: 39%

DNFing another Sophie Kinsella book (at 39% this time, when the last time was 40%, if that tells you anything).

I had to check to make sure this book was a romance. At the 39% mark it's still ENTIRELY unclear that the main character and that one random dude (mentioned for a page at the beginning of the book who showed up again like a chapter or two ago showing his ass) have any potential of being a romantic pairing.

Sophie's pacing just isn't for me. This is the opposite of insta-love. Prediction: If When they do fall for each other, it'll be in the last 15% of the book and feel super abrupt.
