I quite enjoyed it, it's a simple, well-constructed story, albeit a bit predictable at times. Jacob is delightful with his sarcastic wit (not sure that it ended the way it should have in regards to him?).

I like the setting of Edinburgh as I know and love it quite well, however I think the immersion in the setting only works if you know Edinburgh, I'm not sure that it's described as clearly (or in as much detail) or as poetically as it could've been. That said, I was listening to this audiobook during lovely spring/summer weather (including during a nice country walk!) so it didn't quite fit the season and this would not have helped I guess! :D

perfect read to get me into spooky season! definitely check it out if you're in the mood for light ghost stories (bc it's a middle grade book, so it wasn't too scary!!)

This was such a fun story! It was spooky, with great characters and a fun story line - plus a fast read (or listen!) which is always satisfying, can’t wait to read more in the series.

Good short book. Listened to it in one sitting. Nice in between book when I wanted to read but didn’t have time to really get involved in a longer story. Interesting premise and the characters seem cute. Might read the others in the series later on
