I received an advanced copy of this graphic novel from Netgalley. It is an adorable story about a narwhal who makes friends with a jellyfish. They have three different adventures in the book and it is all tied together by their love of waffles. So cute! Loved it!
This is a great beginning reader book. My kindergartener and I read through this. She got most of the jokes but not all. She did like the pictures and felt confident trying to read the words. We will read the next one and I would recommend this one.
Adorably quirky and absurd. Perfectly fun. Wonderfully illustrated. It only takes 5-10 minutes to read this cross between a graphic novel, picture book, and early reader.
Adorable! After having an eight year old correct me on the pronunciation of Narwhal (I thought it was Norwall), I decided I should learn a little more about this animal. This book did not disappoint. A comic strip styled book with cute artwork, and dialogue that is just what I would imagine if a kid were telling the story. It was just too cute not to give it 5 stars, and *bonus, I learned some pretty cool facts about Narwhals too!

This is an incredibly sweet and humorous tale of a jellyfish meeting a narwhal for the first time, despite both of them believing the other must be imaginary. Told in episodic format, Narwhal and Jellyfish learn how to be friends, learn to imagine fun adventures, and talk about their favorite things! This book would be great for young children learning about types of marine animals, but really, it's funny enough for all ages to enjoy. Furthermore, if you love waffles, you will probably find Narwhal and Jellyfish wonderful enough to be your best friends.
