I love this. This book was funny and occasionally educational! Narwhal and Jelly look to fill the space left from the conclusion of Mo Willem's Elephant and Piggy stories!
Update: So I lead my reluctant reading son to this at the library and he loved it as much as I did. This is the first book that he has loved and asked me to buy him a copy! LOVE!!!!!

Cute graphic novel for a younger elementary student. Shows kids that you can't interpret something said or not said to you as something as mean. That instead of jumping to conclusions, ask.

That was too many kinds of adorable. And I think it would be pretty great as a storytime book, very fun to read aloud. I would now like the join the Narwhal Pod and have parties and eat waffles, please :D
Super-adorable graphic novel(ish?) story for primary grades. My son is going into second grade and absolutely LOVED this. He is a huge fan of waffles (and especially strawberries) so it's a natural fit for him. Great series!
Emma read this to me tonight! She’s been wanting to read a graphic novel with me since seeing me read dog man and other graphic novels that were above her level. We already love narwhals, this was adorable though!
This is such an adorable and (somewhat) informative graphic novel for kids. Clanton's illustrations and messages about positivity and friendship fully round out the first in a new series.
We already know by the cover design just how great the graphics are in this junior graphic novel. That's what initially drew me in, I mean how could it not! What I loved was how this JGN caters to its audience and their attention spans. There are three short stories divided by fun marine life facts and songs or activities. This was such a good idea! I enjoyed the themes throughout the stories, and think kids and parents would enjoy reading this together or individually!

For a kids comic book, this is actually rather truly delightful. I loved the little friendship, the high quality of support for children's imagination, reading and the learning of new facts. Also of building for yourself, with your friends, that which you might be missing in your life. I definitely know some tiny people in my life who might need this next year after release.
