The pun-filled adventures of a waffle-loving underwater duo.

I...don't know how to review kid's books.

It sure is cute. I don't understand the waffle fixation, but the illustrations are pretty darn adorable, and Jelly at least is pretty cool. Narwhal is...a little too ditzy for my tastes, being an underwater Winnie-the-Pooh without the sarcasm, but that's okay.

Super cute! It's hard not to love a narwhal and his jellyfish bff bond over waffles and corny jokes. Thanks NetGalley for the copy!

Narwhal Unicorn of the Sea! by Ben Clanton was another library book sale find for one of the nephews.

I actually laughed out loud a couple of times during this one. Narwhal and his pal Jelly go on adventures with their beautiful golden retriever + black cat personalities.

This was also a graphic novel.
funny lighthearted

This was definitely a fun, hilarious book. A great pick-me-up after a busy, tiring day! I saw there will be more books coming, I will be pre-ordering them as soon as I see them around.

This book is about a Narwhal who decides to travel and meets a jellyfish. Since neither of them has seen either Jellyfish or Narwhal they, hilariously, decide that they must be imaginary and thus become imaginary friends. Yes, I just laughed when they decided that. Oh, I never seen you around before, nor your kind, so you must be imaginary, because who would have such a horn on their head? Haha. :P

The book is filled with several stories about these 2. From eating waffles (delicious!) to making a pod (as Narwhal apparently thinks he needs a pod). The book is full with hilarious situations that will make you laugh. Their friendship (even if they think it is imaginary) is brilliant and also very cute.

I loved how the Narwhal was so happy about his horn, and how he kept saying how awesome he was. Often this can get annoying in characters, but I didn't think that was a problem here. Maybe because of the way he said things. :)

We also have 2 pages with information on Jellyfish and Narwhals. I loved that this was added as it made the book even more fun. Now you can learn something, and have fun. :P

The art is also truly fun (I have to confess I also got the book because of the art).

All in all, this is one book I would highly recommend.

Lovely Christmas gift to my four year old, she finally sat still long enough to let me read it to her. A great early graphic novel with lots of pictures and a pretty silly characters.

My favorite part was when the author gave the reader the opportunity to make up part of the story.

Narwhal claims to be the unicorn of the sea, yet he doesn't fart rainbows or poop cupcakes. He better watch out with that horn too or he will assuredly pop his imaginary jellyfish friend.

I do like the quick and handy jellyfish and narwhal facts pages, plus the super important encouragement of imagination. I find the gang-like dress and attitude of the pod somewhat intimidating though. That narwhal and his group were definitely looking to shank somebody.

So cute!
The main down side was that it's way too short. It ended in like 5 minutes. Ah well, super super cute!

Podtastic!

Love the facts the author sneaks in, and Narwhal is just so adorable!
