One of my favorite Natasha Preston books! I think her books are interesting because they have such good gripping stories that make me keeping reading the book, unable to put it down. However, the endings always get me as they are so unpredictable and honestly different than most mystery style novels. I loved how this one ended, even if it did leave me slightly upset and wanting more from her!

this book could’ve been a little shorter and with less inner monologue in my opinion. the only reason it got a 3.5 instead of a 3 was the very last chapter. specifically the last 3 minutes (i listened to it)

People mentioned in other reviews that they hated the ending. I actually liked the ending. I liked that it came out of nowhere and I wasn’t sure how it was going to end until the last page. It wasn’t the ending I was hoping for but it really left me speechless. The entire book was a very quick read and kept me pulled in.
