So this book was very much Fitz seeing himself in the future generation and him trying to be the best mentor he could possibly be… and failing horribly. I loved it. It wasn’t as good as Fools Errand, but seeing all the relationships build and be broken was riveting for it being such a slow paced book. I do think it went a little bit too long and should’ve ended after a certain healing but I really love everything else this book did. The magic system is getting more and more fleshed out while staying mysterious and this book really made you feel rewarded for reading liveship traders. If book 3 ends well this might be my favorite trilogy of all time.
