Too much going on, nonsensical plot, messy topics mixed up together without being cohesive at all, boring body horror and randomly dropping the name of a murdered child irl. So. Yeah.

I was going to give this book 5 stars, but

Mareva was not nearly enough horrified about her awful immortal destiny,  which really took me out of the story. The ending was also too abrupt and Mareva weird, cautious hopefulness felt terribly misplaced and unbelievable.
