Steph & Lula are pursing FTA's and get an extra job from the local jewelry store owner.  Dead bodies, typical fire bombings and wrecked cars (which seems to happen in almost every book) have them scrambling to apprehend responsible parties.  There's an irritating side story with Lula and a "demon" that seems to be filler.  Joe is out of town and Steph stays with Ranger (after 30 books she still can't make a decision between them)  Both men throw her for a loop with some mind boggling decisions (which I'm sure will drag on for another 30 books?) This series has lost it's luster and has been more boring than usual except for the bombshell ending.
