Did not love it as much as Book 1, but loved it all the same. Fun plot culminating in exciting ending setting up Book 3. Characters and writing remain strong and true. Royce and Hadrian are personal all time favorite duos. Started book 3 right after the last page of this one.

Predictable, the dialog hasn’t improved and the characterization has possibly gotten worse. It’s kind of hilarious how there are these BIG REVEALS and you’re just like…yeah that was obvious from about page 5, am I only supposed to have figured that out now?
Also cmon having extremely ill-developed female characters is bad enough but did you need to make the dragon sexist to boot??
However it has remained just good enough that I will at least give book three a shot.
