This book did a really great job portraying characters with anxiety and depression, but with a hopeful ending.

This book honestly explores mental illness (anxiety and depression) along with all the nuances and stigmas associated with acknowledging and treating such illnesses. Told from two different narrative perspectives, I have no doubt that many adolescents will see themselves reflected in the pages.

It was really refreshing. There were diverse characters and it helped me with understanding how some people think when they are depressed or have extreme anxiety. This was a really nice book and I was rooting for the main characters the whole time!

It took me awhile to get through this one. I enjoyed getting to know the main characters and loved the overarching message. It felt a bit boring at times, but I'm certainly not the target audience either.

4.5 ⭐️ What. A. Rollercoaster. Such a lovely YA romance that deals with serious subjects, most notably mental health and the stigma around issues with mental health. I fell in love with these characters as they fell in love with each other and themselves.

4.5. To keep things short, this book has left me with an appreciation of tropes, a mindfulness about my mental health, and a hunger for Chinese Food. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who loves YA!
