This is a great read! Sati is a strong female character and everything she accomplishes even though everything is set against her was inspiring! I also enjoyed learning more about this time period. The glossary was definitely helpful with some of the terms. With the way Sati's story feels like there's a lot more to come I'm pretty sure we will be getting another book which would be wonderful! Our strong MFC does the unthinkable and makes a name for herself. This story was phenomenal and gives you a glimpse of the life of an Egyptian (Kemet) teen. It’s highly different and unconventional for someone of her status to do what she does in this story, however, her determination took hold. The be connected to the Gods and Goddesses on a completely different level, it’s amazing. Now I’m hoping for another story to come because I need to know what happens next. This has found family, traitors, war, and even an LGBTQIA character. Clean book outside of all the blood shed. It kind of gave me Mulan vibes- but to a different extreme! Loved it.
