A very enjoyable ride. The writing clichés from the 2000s give it a vintage feel but the seamless blend of Greek mythology & contemporary adventure still works like a charm. Can't wait to read the rest

There's probably nothing I can say that has already been said, but this book series deserves all the love it can get. I'm a bit sad that I haven't read these earlier, must've been great to read them as a child and then reread them as an adult. But I'm happy I have read it at all and I'm in LOVE with this series, the world, the characters.
Percy is a fun and relatable (overused word but it's true!) protagonist and I'm enjoying his POV greatly. The book is PACKED with events, we go from one little adventure to the next and it feels like you're on a rollercoaster, but in the best possible way.
I haven't seen the TV show yet, but the movies, although fun on their own, definitely don't hold a candle to the book, you just can't show everything that happens in two hours! MUST READ!
