What a book!! I am glad I decided to read this and I'm so thankful for the Goodreads challenge to have this as part of the list of books to finish for the challenge which further motivated me to finish it.
I took my own sweet time to finish this book and I'm so sad that it's over. I was fully immersed into the world and so connected to all the characters. I felt myself being emotional and rooting for the characters most of the time. It was hilarious, heart-touching, empowering and more! I will forever carry Elizabeth Zott with me ❤️
The way that a dog was personified and given its own characteristic and personality was a new and interesting way of writing. I really enjoyed it.
The story went through so many twists and turns but it all wrapped up to a satisfactory ending and it all felt worth it.
I am so excited that this is the first 5 star read that I've had in over a year!

Between 3 and 4 stars for me. I watched the show first and I rarely ever say this but I liked the show more than the book because it flowed much better and the creative liberties they took to change the story made the characters more believable.

This book was heavier than I realized it would be and I didn’t like the dog angle, but otherwise, I really enjoyed this.
