King does it again. This is a frustrating book as there is some really great elements and stories going on but some that really fell flat! Again the build up to the dark tower is ever more great and Eddie/ Roland's story in this was its strongest. Susannah on the other hand...I really didn't much care for it. I think it was my dislike to Mia that really tainted it. This was almost 3 stars but I loved Kings timeline at the end of this.

This was well written and I liked the meta aspect of the book, but aside from that, this book was a slog for me. I found it entirely skippable,it does nothing to move the plot of the series or to solve any mystery.
