Stephen King is genius!

Most of the book is excellent, but writing himself into the book, especially the painfully boring “diary” at the end, left a really bad taste in my mouth.

coulda, woulda, shoulda...the worst book of the series...it could have been good, would have been good, should have been good but then the author had to go and write himself into the story...which then just made it stupid...I was so utterly put off by this that it spoiled the whole book for me. It hasn't stopped me, I must finish the series because overall it is totally enrossing, but I am glad to be done with this one and could have done without most of it, mainly the parts where Mr. King has written himself into it. I could have done without that. It's a good thing I am already hooked or I would have been turned off of the books entirely. I am on to the last book of the series, I hope it is better than this one. If not I will be bitterly disappointed.

I’m not really sure how to feel about this one. I certainly didn’t hate it. It just didn’t catch me the way the last few did. Maybe I’m just getting burnt out on the series and need a short break. A break in the action in this book for sure, but it is taking the psychological aspect up a notch.
