I've loved Stephen King books since my teens but have struggled with completing the Gunslinger series....maybe because I did not want it to end? I really enjoyed this one since my favorite character of the series is prominent in it.
This closely rivals book 2! So exciting the whole time, and I’m glad that we’re finally moving forward with the “Susannah’s pregnant” plot. I think it’s really fascinating and it really needed to move forward.
I love that King is a character in his own book. I genuinely think it is clever and not self-important. He even kind of takes the piss a little bit and makes fun of himself tastefully.
Having gotten to the end of this one, I worry for the ka-tet. How will things end?
