I loved this first installment in the Green Valley world that are written by other authors. I was on the fence about how I would feel about the Smartypants Romance Pennyverse - but after reading “Baking Me Crazy” I am hooked! I loved how original characters from the Winston Brother’s series made appearances while still telling a completely new story. 10/10 recommend!

Great story. I think friends to lovers is my favorite trope. Joss was a great heroine, flaws and all. I enjoy it when the characters have real issues & aren’t perfect. Joss was a typical 21 year old, a little immature & had a chip on her shoulder about her disability that didn’t just disappear when she fell in love. She made mistakes. She was unsure of herself. She realized her love for Levi over time, not just instantly.

Levi, on the other hand, was a perfect book boyfriend. His reasoning for his life decisions was sound. He loved Joss, but wasn’t a tortured soul. The story was sweet, had minor angst & had a very happy ending. Perfect for an afternoon read.

Also, the audiobook was great. The narrators did a wonderful job & it was a pleasure to listen to.

Baking Me Crazy is a cute, small town foodie romance with fantastic disability rep. I loved Levi as the hero, and the explanation of the instalove trope worked for me. I loved being back in Green Valley, TN. 3.5 stars, rounding up to 4 stars.

Sorensen has the perfect recipe in Baking Me Crazy: start with a swoony book boyfriend, throw in a strong, empowered female lead, sprinkles of hilarious banter, just a dash of angst, and all baked up in the perfect small town. This wasn’t just a romance, it was a powerful, poignant and emotional read that pulled me in from the first word to the last. This was the romantic comedy I didn't know I was craving. I DEVOURED it. An absolute must read — and one you’re sure to never forget!

Not usually a big friends-to-lovers person, but it was really great in this one!

Giving Baking Me Crazy four stars because I did enjoy the characters and the writing was good. I just didn't care much for the storyline. All of this "I love him/her but I'm afraid to say anything even though we've been besties for FIVE years" got on my nerves after a while. The complete lack of awareness of Joce that Levi and his entire family literally rearranged their lives and their homes to accommodate her rubbed me the wrong way. How can anyone be that tone deaf? Anyway, moving on to the next book in the series.

Really enjoyable contemporary romance. Told from both POVs, it was fun to have Levi know right from the beginning that he was all in and watch Joss' journey.

I also appreciated the emotional honesty, especially around Joss' experiences with PT. It felt raw and realistic, which pulled me in even deeper.
