Reading 2021
Book 123: Hostage by Guy Delisle

This is my second Delisle graphic novel this month, he has a bunch of book available at the library. I will cycle through them all eventually.

This selection chronicles the true story of Christophe Andre who was kidnapped in 1997 while serving as an administrator for Doctors Without Borders. He was held captive for three months, the book is told from his perspective.

This graphic novel was so interesting, to be in the head of the captive the whole time was riveting. I liked this book better than the other one I read this month. My rating 4 ⭐.

No Rate for Memories.

I almost cried with the last pages..relief and fear between those pages after a whole journey of staying in the dark . The art style is simple and beautiful to give the vibe .

A non-fiction graphic novel about a man taken hostage in the Caucuses - very worth the read.
