My son loved this, so it definitely speaks to the 8 year old boys out there. He read it in about a day, and although he loves to read, speed is not usually his thing. It was relatively cute and clever, but it didn't seem to have a particularly strong message or lesson for the kids who read it. With the exception of a few funny moments, I found it merely okay.
I read this for work, but it was surprisingly good for a popular kids series!
This book was actually lot funnier than I thought it was going to be. I found myself laughing out loud at the funny parts and at the parts that reminded me of my middle school. Although, I did feel really bad for him a Christmas when everything seemed to go wrong for him. But, overall it was a very entertaining book and I really think that this book could be used to help reluctant readers start to love to read.

Language: 1- There aren't really any swear words, just childish words like "fart".

Worst book I’ve ever read in my life but it took less than an hour
It was a cute book. I got it today while it was free on iTunes, and I made it through the entire book in a few hours. A very simple read with cute cartoons and a cute story about a kid and his middle school troubles.
Rereading this book at age 27 and it cracked me up.
