Can a comic get more Meta than Deadpool? Why, yes, it can. It absolutely can.
This volume is a constant stream of wacky fun intermixed with surprising moments of intense emotion. Any comic that opens with Howard the Duck is bound to be interesting. And the ridiculous, no-consequences storyline just keeps getting more fun with a cast of obscure and absurd Marvel characters.
One complaint... Why the insistence on not giving her pants and then using the art to repeatedly call attention to that fact?
But, other than that, this was enjoyably well done. There are legitimately funny jokes throughout and good delivery of the storyline. It's wonderfully ridiculous with heart, and I look forward to volume 2.
