I didn't really like any of these people and the prose was very purple. I just didn't feel like I got enough time to know anyone. Horror was super gross and scary though.

What the hell just happened? One minute they were all fighting each other about something that happened years ago the next they’re murdering their friend? Holy shit

This book is trying to do too much in too few pages. It's got that vibe of some annoying college boy who is trying too hard to prove how intellectual they are for no reason.
It tries to be ~mysterious~ by not explaining or setting up ANYTHING in the book but ends up frustrating because there's not enough context. Characters randomly appear and disappear in the text, which jolts you out of the story. I had no idea wtf was going on for most of the story.
All the characters are assholes, they could all die and I'd be fine with that. It's like a really bad, tropey C horror movie, where you understand nothing about the characters except they exist to fill the role of character.
