The plot thickens!
Holy crap! I need more and, also, what did I just read? Lexie and her guys, always neck deep in something dangerous and exciting! And Hades! I never actually saw that coming! Now I have to wait months to read the next one! Dang! So much going on, I need to know! Thank you BL for such a great book and a little more heat this time!!!

What the heck just happened. My brain feels like it exploded. Better review later when I am not half asleep.

I like that some action finally happened in this book, but a lot of it was told to us after the fact. I didn’t understand some things though, like why is she still going to a school where a woman who wants her dead is working? I’m, homeschooling is completely an option. Rory knows also and just tells her not to piss them off. WTF?
And the character development was too startling a change for me. Such as…
* ruined the character of Miles. He was my favorite and now I don’t even care what all his secrets are.
* Zeke might as well be her big brother. Zero chemistry romantically in this book.
* Asher’s development could have been amazing, but there isn’t enough time to explore any of it so it seems like a big hassle for this late in the game.
* I feel like no one is doing anything. It’s not a war, it’s not even a battle. It’s just stress.
* The twins were great in this book. A* for both of them.
* Rory???? I get the one thing but could he be more of a absentee guardian. They shouldn’t have write him as such a great father figure to then make him just a plot device.
* Hades. Why? Doesn’t make any sense. Do we really need another character at this point?
I’m going to read the last book, but I’m getting tired of nothing happening. This books big twist was so obvious from like book 2 or 3 that I was hoping I was wrong and it was a red herring. Still hoping that.

Didn't want it to end
Amazing series. Love the characters. Unique take on both paranormal and RH concepts. I can't wait for book 9, especially with how this one ended.

Loved this latest installment
I've been intrigued by the whole necromancer idea since the first book. It's been a steady build from the start but this one is where it starts to get "good" with Lexie and the guys physical relationships. It's still a slow progression for that and with starting to bring the rest of the secondary characters into the supernatural know. I can't wait for the next installment.

The Veil Diaries is my favorite series.. of all freaking time. This book did not disappoint!
I loved getting more of these characters (even though I could have punched Miles). There was some more back story in this book and it was just

Loved it. So good.
Is book 9 the last book? Because if it is I'm going to be so sad. I'm completely invested in this world and don't want to leave.
This book gets us into the finer details and almost reveals who the big bad guy is...without confrontation, yet. I'm waiting for the Scooby Doo moment where they rip off his mask and he says, "I'd have gotten away with it if it weren't for you meddling kids." And it turns out to actually be little old lady, Mrs. Olsen, from across the street. hahaha
I'm so glad I started this series. It's been a fun adventure.

Spoilers so dont read further if you dont want to know!
I dont quite know how much I liked and hated some of it. All the boys or how I see it will get some sort ability? That's what It looks like now , and I cant imagine some getting powers and other not.
First of , in my last review of TvD I ranted about Isaac , and how he was not my favourite , that he got on my nerve, and low and behold I knew it ! He was the first with Lexie to go all the way ! I skipped the scene , sorry to say. From the beginning of the book it felt like the author has a favorite, and that's okay , but to feel it in the pages hmm. Well maybe it just because I dont like Isaac that much , who knows.
I miss the dynamic and the family in this book , the secrets Miles keep , the disfunction. The only thing I loved was that Lexie put her foot down on not keeping them a secret. I liked the scenes with Tara , her getting more mature.
Riley , she probably will get her own book ? I don't get her story to be honest , it takes away from the story. She probably gets converted and gets her own harem , while in the book she is so against Lexie and her relationships.
While now we now about the veil and who was behind it , it still doesn't make sense , the why he did it , that's not hard and I get that, it's a good reason , the how is the answer, how does he know about the supernatural world! Also Miles dad and his story is so far stretched in my eyes..
Let's hope the next book gets me going again!
