Low four stars, would have been a more convincing four star read if the pacing didn't get so choppy towards the end. I absolutely loved the beginning.

What an amazing first book to the entire series.

I read these when I was younger, and while I loved them I don't think I had a full appreciation for them like I do now. There is such a gentle yet powerful femininity with Talia I just adore, and I think much to be said about how emotions, and healing are portrayed throughout the book.
