7 narrators is about 5 or 6 too many.

I only gave this one star because facts about wolves kept me hooked.

Typical Picoult: family drama+ legal issue+ some terrible secret.

Don't say I didn't warn you.

This book was similar to Jodi’s other books. I enjoyed it enough to keep reading it, but not enough to feel connected to any of the characters, except Luke. I just kept hoping the ending would be happier.

A bit underwhelmed with this book. It was kinda boring and dragged on and I didn't feel invested in the characters to care about the difficult decision that had to be made.

I wasn't very excited about this one, but it turned out to be more interesting than I thought. I liked the wolf aspect, certainly, as they're still my favorites (but elephants are a strong contender now), but I could not even understand Cara's perspective AND SHE WAS SUCH A LITTLE SHIT ABOUT IT. YOUR FATHER'S BRAIN DEAD. BRAIN. DEAD. LESS THAN 1% CHANCE OF RECOVERY. WHO WOULD WANT TO LIVE IN A VEGETATIVE STATE??????

Also, even though they're kind of slushy, Jodi Picoult does her job very well. Her stories are resonant, albeit predictable. She is a lovely, intelligent woman in person though.

Didn't care for this novel, the story. Thought the subject tired. First Picoult I've disliked.

Every time I read Picoult, I think this will be the last one I read and then I get sucked back in. The basic premise works for her books - moral dilemma, show both sides, plot twist at end. I have to say though that the plot twist at the end of this one was the weakest of all of them.
