For sometihng that starts out with a classic rom-com premise - "oh, no - we accidentally got married!" this story develops into something much more than a rom-com. It's no less funny for that, but I appreciated the depth supplied by Will's family dynamic and his struggle to be his own man (as he puts it) and the insight into the destruction a manipulative partner can do, Patrtick's friendship with Jenny, and lots of other little things that just added richness to the story and rounded out the characters. The premise is pretty dumb, yes, but the authors go on to tell a great story and have created two unforgettable characters in Will and especially Patrick, whose struggles to define his feelings for Will are both poignant and hilarious, often at the same time.
John Solo does a fantastic job with the narration in all the stories, and his characterisation of Patrick is superb; he captures him perfectly, his cantankerousness, his lack of brain-to-mouth filter, the way he takes things so literally and the way he cares deeply for Will. Solo does have a couple of vocal ticks that I'm not a fan of, but I've listened to all 25 hours or so of this serial over the last few days, so I wasn't put off, and his performance in all other respects is very good indeed.

Outstanding continuation and now I’m jumping into the honeymoon
Catching up on bad reviews and bad rep. This series was recently on a Neurodivergent book promo thing, which, wow. Stop promoting offensive rep.
This review is for the entire series.
I cannot believe after this book/series has already been reviewed and called out for FUCKING ABYSMAL autism rep, people are still reccing it! Holy shit, way to announce to the world that you don't give a fuck.
Other reviewers are more eloquent, I'm just going to throw the obvious out there.
Also, there's a really bizarre take on alcoholism, AA, and how AA sponsors should act, no one mentions it, but it's awful and weird.
Let's start with this:
“You’re—” Will stares at him. “Wait, hold up. You’re autistic?” “No, I’m on the spectrum. There’s a difference.” Patrick counts out five beats of Will’s heart. “You don’t see me screaming and banging my head on tables because the spaghetti noodles aren’t done, do you?”
Nice. Not offensive at all.

This is a re-read for me. My original read was on my Kindle app, and when this version of the books came out for my NOOK, I had to have it, too.
It was fun getting reacquainted with these characters. Patrick and Will are so good for each other. Will gave Patrick the nuances in his life. He gave Patrick a feeling of safety. Patrick gave Will confidence and courage to stand up for what he believed. He helped Will see that he could ask for what he needed. And the two of them gave each other so much love.
I will always love this series. I will always want to re-read it. I will always enjoy it, no matter how many times I read it.

Such an emotional rollercoaster.
These guys are idiots when it comes to matters of the heart. Then again, after learning what we do about them - Patrick in particular - it makes sense. Love these guys.
Throughout much of the book, I felt like I was on the edge. No action, some internal drama, but that feeling that something was about to happen was there throughout. Part of the big hook was everything going on with Patrick, how hard it was accept and then getting hurt as a result.
The ending was perfect, of you - this is a romance novel after all - but the getting there is what makes it so sweet.
There is one thing I didn't care for and it also appeared in another book from this genre, also written by a woman. Both of you were clearly influenced by Fifty Shades of Grey in at least some respects. I'd rather that get left out. That said, it plays a very minor part and the power dynamic (presumed, since I never read/watched it) is absent. That was Ryan's thing, not Patrick's.

Oh goodness this left me feeling so much love for Will and Patrick.
Again Patrick stole the show with how he managed his feelings like they were a sickness.

This half of the story had a lot more steam but was just as sweet and I truly cared about all of the characters - who are all well rounded and have great arcs. Perfect read to de-stress.
