It read like a dream/prediction of the first Dune book. With many similiar thoughts, trends, and themes. The anti-hero position of Paul is fleshed out and thrown out into the desert until what is left are his inheritances for the Dune world. Inheritances calling for a renewal of ideas I hope to receive in readings of the subsequent books!

I felt weirdly enthralled by this book. In retrospect it didn't really feel like a whole lot actually happened, but there were times that I wanted to see what was going to happen next anyway. I wanted to see how it played out even though you kinda knew what was going to happen the entire time. It's honestly a pretty good authorship to tell the reader flat out what is going to happen in this book from the beginning and still deliver.
