A very succinct and helpful guide to being a NetGalley Book Advocate. I had a lot of questions when first signing up and figuring out not only the process but the website itself, this toolkit answered all of those and beyond, going into various social media channels and how to best utilize those platforms. Also gorgeous graphics for the entire toolkit!

I strongly recommend this toolkit from We Are Bookish for anyone interested in Netgalley and is feeling overwhelmed.

A short read (approx. 15 minutes, 31 pages) with instructions on creating your profile, writing book reviews, social media do’s and don’ts, abiding by NetGalley / Publisher / FTC guidelines, and so much more… I feel like a pro now!

This toolkit is an easy-to-read ebook that includes advice and tips. I’m a beginner and found this extremely helpful! Available on NetGalley.

Thank you to NetGalley for this quick read! Not only was it a great resource to get more involved and precise with choosing books through NetGalley and how to be selected as a reader, but it has great tips that can be used for any business that uses social media.

As a book lover and an author, I found this book very insightful and fun to read. It also includes additional resources if you want to continue to explore specific social avenues for your book reviews.

NetGalley’s Book Advocate Toolkit is very helpful for someone who is hoping to start writing their own book reviews - or even if they’re hoping to kick their reviews up a notch!

One of my goals for this year was to shift the way in which I engage with books - to transition from solely consuming to also thinking more critically about why I enjoy reading what I read. Over the last few years, I have also come to share tailored book recommendations for friends. With more time and capacity since finishing residency, I’m excited to share my thoughts and recommendations with even more people!

Implementing this is, unsurprisingly, more difficult. The clear steps outlined in this toolkit and the resources it provides have given me more confidence as I start to share analyses and opinions with my GoodReads and #bookstagram worlds. Overall, it’s an excellent reference that I enjoy coming back to time and time again.

NetGalley, with We Are Bookish, has produced a Book Advocate Toolkit. This toolkit is the perfect way to get started and comfortable on NetGalley. It walks the reader through creating a profile and selecting titles to review. There are tips for posting on social media including video reviews. Topics include hashtags and planning to put a review across all your social media platforms. It is a great tool to help the reader start with NetGalley or improve an already established profile.

This is an honest review of the title. I received it from NetGalley.

By far the best toolkit for bookstagrammers, book bloggers, book lovers, etc! I do not think I will write a review without pulling up a copy of this toolkit from now on.

I started my bookstagram/signed up for NetGalley about two years ago. I wasn’t gaining many followers or receiving any arcs. After creating some more constant content, and researching/updating the best way to set up my profile on NetGalley last fall, I have seen a change to both! Within the last few months, my follower count has significantly gone up and I have received my first arcs!

Since I am used to just taking pictures of books and doing fun quick reviews on Goodreads, I pulled up this toolkit for help on writing better reviews. This 31-page pdf has helped me shape the way I write reviews, use apps like Canva, and just had a bunch of great tips!

If you want to create a book account, I recommend this toolkit 100%!

I love this guide! Well written and easy to read, exactly what we’re looking for in a toolkit. I feel ready to start confidently reviewing books.

Lots of other communications tips in there too which can be used in your general social media presence and feel like a bonus. Nicely illustrated Which I found makes it more engaging.

Highly recommend this to anyone starting or struggling with using NetGalley and reviewing books.

Thank you NetGalley!
