Call it a 4.5 because I did want just a little more from the ending, but wow. This book hooked me from the first chapter, it’s creepy & scary & I loved it. It’s a beautiful mix of daddy issues, true crime, spooky time, and chaos. Highly recommend, but be warned it’s a thrilled about a serial killer who targets kids so it’s not a light hearted read by any means.

This is a truly terrifying read. I listened to this on audio and found myself freaking out, heart pounding at more than a few points in the story. This had all the scary, creepy vibes I crave from a thriller and was a perfect read for spooky October! I’ll definitely be reading more of this author.

WOAH.

Really enjoyed the majority of the novel but I did have some mixed feelings towards the end and also in the beginning; page 70-210 were really good though. The author is exceptional at raising suspense but I hope its not another Stephen King case where his endings aren't the best. I would like to pick up [b:The Shadows|48842144|The Shadows|Alex North|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1582045084l/48842144._SY75_.jpg|74223629] when I can because I'm interested in what he'd write next

this book genuinely scared me. the story was gripping and kept you interested, although there were a few plot holes.
