A good read. With an ending that made me angry, that the next installment won't be out for ages.
This was pretty good. The first two books were much better. I enjoyed learning more about the collectors and Death. I really like Death. There were moments, more than I would like, where I felt discouraged by this book. It seemed like Price relied on some silly "twists" to make up for weak writing. This book just didn't excite me the way the first two did. I will continue to read about Alex Craft though.
3,5 nejzábavnější díl, fajn konec, škoda, že to utnuli.
FANTASTIC. Now I'm just praying she doesn't forget all about Death with fairy boy in her face. Gosh, this was the best book yet! Can't wait.

Grave Memory is a great addition to the Alex Craft series. This book continues the story after a huge revelation about Alex's background and Falin's having to leave. This leaves Alex in an odd spot since both the men she is interested in/confused about disappear and are never really around anymore. All of this makes for a slow start to the main part of the story because you are constantly reading about Death and Falin being gone.
As far as the story goes in this it adds some more of the great world building the Alex Craft novels are known for. There is also a new addition of a type of creature with Ghouls. The opening of Tongues Of The Dead definitely added a lot to the plot line. Any fan of Death in this series will have a major payoff from this book, but the end kind of rips the happy place you get to right out of your hands and of course leaves you with a frustrating cliffhanger.
I felt like this book was a good addition to the series, but besides the Death payoff the rest of the book left me wishing the next one was already out. I am soo sick of having to read a book that leaves me hanging and just desperate for the next book! I will keep coming back to series I love without a cliffhanger so close up the story a little more nicely next time please? Overall though I loved this addition, but not as much as the first and second book in this series.
Overall this is a good book, but not great. That cliffhanger really knocked some points off for me personally. I'd give it a 3 out of 5 and say it's worth the cash if you are already invested in the series. If you were left kind of indifferent with book 2 then I'd say this isn't a good book for you to pick up.

Did the author make some sort of dare while writing this--'I know...I'll throw out some completely crazy scenarios that would never happen and then make it fit the story.Yeah, that sounds like a good idea'.
I've got to admit that this story really tested my ability to just let crazy plots and story lines ride. I desperately want to scream WHAT WERE YOU THINKING??? but don't want to spoil many parts of the story with my ranting so I won't.
Basic random overview:
Alex yearns after Falin and Death. She almost gains some depth to her character by saying she felt something for the two men (almost, not quite). Other than that, she has unfinished business with Faerie. Adding to the list of things on her plate--a crazy woman who wants to kill/work with Alex. Wait--there is more! The number of obstacles thrown at Alex is just too much. It was never believable but even with suspended reality it is doubtful.
My basic (and slightly random) thoughts--The book isn't awful but it is trying (as in my patience). Alex's poor dog has a bladder of steele and must have been from an abusive relationship because she isn't home enough to have something love her as much. Another random thought--what happened to the cool gargoyle, Fred? Why introduce a character that really isn't part of the story? I had hoped it would actually have a part of a future story.

RATING: 3.5 stars.

Blew through the first three books in less than a week. Quick entertaining reading, with great characters, just what I needed. Reminds me of the early Anita Blake books for some reason. Can't wait to see what Alex , Falin & Death are up to in the next installment....
