Not bad. It wasn’t as dark as I had hoped. I’ll read more from this series.

Introduced unwarranted characters. Felt like the suspects were being lined up despite it being a murder mystery

The prose was really basic, I just couldn’t get into it.

Fantastic sense of atmosphere - a freezing, isolated Icelandic town - and a good tangled mystery, but unfortunately there were just too many POVs and not enough of a straight line towards the investigation.

Something about the writing here didn’t land - it felt fairly clunky. Dialogue was used to explain much that could have been explained through action sequences.

I don’t know if it was the translation or what, but this just didn’t work for me.

I'm sure I read this one. I recall liking the setting and premise.
