Don't be misled by my 2-star review. No doubt I have many Nora Roberts books in my future. #BookCrack

Absolutely love this

I absolutely love this series, have read it numerous times. Nora never disappoints with her novels. The bad boy and the straight lace girl

The first in the MacKade Brothers series. I love the series - this one wasn't my favorite out of the four, but it did start the series of great and left me wanting to finish out the series.

If you like your romances to have a one dimensional, volatile, alpha male main man - this is the book for you!
This book was written in 1995 and you can tell. It hasn’t aged particularly well and I want more from my romance these days.
It wasn’t all bad, it was an easy read. I own two other books in this series, However, I’m part way through the Winston Brothers series by Penny Reid and I’ll be continuing with that instead.

In a world where "toxic masculinity" is in everyday vernacular, I feel like books with male love interests like Rafe MacKade don't really fit anymore. I would have probably liked this more even like, 10 years ago, but reading it now... it feels flat and wrong. Rafe frankly sounds like a dick and not someone worth pursuing, even there is a soft spot underneath.

Classic Nora. I feel like I remember reading this book before but with it being published in 1995, it's a good possibility. Sometimes it's nice to read something written in the 90s, before internet and cell phones.

I really enjoyed this book!
I'm slightly amazed that I haven't read it before. I know I've others in this series.
I'm excited to read all the books in the series.

A typical Nora Roberts series and instalment, but I'm not complaining as I love it. It did remind me of the Inn series with the ghosts and old house, but the characters are unique. I really enjoyed it and the plot was pleasant.
