I have been telling myself I wanted to get more into romance novels and so I have been doing so. All I can say is... I miss horror books. I don't know why these romance authors are addicted to the word 'grin', but it was in this book 71 times. 71! Like you're telling me you didn't have a thesaurus?
Plot wise, it was a cute story. I think the story could have bene a bit shorter as it was very redundant with Cat and Noah replaying the same predicament they had with figuring out how they would be together and Cat figuring out how to balance all of her responsibilities. The characters were extremely one-dimensional. I would have enjoyed more the sexual tension if the book was going to be on this side of 400 pages.

Cute holiday romance. Would have been 4 stars but the constant reminders of the FMC having to watch what she eats so she stays in shape for the camera felt toxic. Usually I love Lucy Score but this one had some issues.
DNF.
Cat is insufferable. What 30-something-year-old says "amazeballs"? Noah is also annoying. What kind of city manager is offered money to fix his town and doesn't take it just because the reality TV star offering it got into a bar fight once? Immature writing.

This was such a fun Christmas read. It’s like a Hallmark movie in a book with a side of smut! Cat does home Reno reality TV. Last year she fell for the town of Mary during one of her projects. Now the town has been devastated by a hurricane. She plans to clean up the town and help them put on their Christmas festival for one of her shows. The only problem is Noah the single dad stuffy town council man who likes the word no. At first they think the spark they feel is just plain Hate but after a few drinks it turns out to be so much more. I loved watching the character morph into the best versions of themselves.
